MCP client setup

Configure Claude Code, Cursor, or another Streamable HTTP client.

Use the hosted Model Context Protocol server to search for companies and retrieve data from your AI workflow. Your client must support Streamable HTTP and an authorization header.

Connection details

Endpointhttps://api.eurofindata.com/mcp
TransportStreamable HTTP
AuthenticationAuthorization: Bearer <your-api-key>

Create your account key in API keys. Keep the resulting client configuration private.

Claude Code

Run the command below in your terminal. Your key is read from your local environment.

Shell
claude mcp add --transport http european-financial-data 'https://api.eurofindata.com/mcp' \ --header "Authorization: Bearer $EUROFINDATA_API_KEY"

Open /mcp in Claude Code to check the connection and available tools.

Cursor

Add a server to your private ~/.cursor/mcp.json configuration. Replace the placeholder locally with your account key.

mcp.json
{  "mcpServers": {    "european-financial-data": {      "url": "https://api.eurofindata.com/mcp",      "headers": {        "Authorization": "Bearer <your-api-key>"      }    }  }}

Reload your MCP connections and check that the server’s tools are listed. For other clients, enter the same endpoint, transport, and bearer header.

Your first query

Example question
Find ASML and show its most recent annual income statement. Include the report period, currency, and data source.

Let the client discover the available tools. Start with search_companies, then get_income_statements or get_balance_sheets.
